We don’t know about Tiger But “Dhoni Zinda Hai”.

Last night at Mohali MS Dhoni almost pulled a heist against KXIP. In the opening match of IPL 2018, DJ Bravo came from nowhere and won an unbelievable match for CSK in Wankhade Stadium scoring 68 in mere 30 balls. Chennai needed approx. 50 overs in last 3 overs with just 2 wickets remaining and the magical innings happened. Mumbai Indians weren’t able to change the stats of not winning a match in opening match of the IPL in last 5 years.
Nobody knew Sunday evening was going to very special as the Thalaiva Captain was going to rock the Mohali people with the vintage Dhoni Knock. KXIP set a target of 198 for CSK in 20 overs which looked a lot in last few overs. CSK lost regular Wickets at intervals while chasing and made themselves reach a position where they required 60 runs in last 3 overs with Bravo and tailenders still to come. Dhoni with Jadeja was playing at 24, run a ball then came Mohit Sharma to bowl. We witnessed vintage innings from the Ranchi Boy devastating Mohit Sharma and Andrew Tye in 18th and 19th over respectively. However, he wasn’t able to take the team over the line but ended up making his highest score 79 off just 44 balls with 6 boundaries and 5 sixes and won the heart of every Dhoni lover. CSK needed 17 of the last over but lost by four runs in the end.
What we saw, that Former Indian Captain can still hit sixes and hasn’t lost the potential to win the match for the team. He has been criticized for lower strike rate and losing his charm with the bat but the most successful captain of India made sure that those people stay quiet for some time with his incredible hitting power. People started talking if he could play in 2019 world cup or not looking at the fact that India has spare wicket-keepers like Dinesh Karthik, Risabh Pant in good form.

Dhoni hasn’t only silenced his critics but also ensured that IPL is going to be a very exciting tournament in coming days. There is no denying in this fact that, he is still one of the fastest runners in the team and is also maintaining a good and fit physique.

Democracy allows protest, not violence and death with it.

We have seen many popular protests in India. Some were democratic and some were non-violent and undemocratic. Famous Anna Hazare’s agitation for Lokpal Bill in country’s Capital was non-violent and very cooperative. Jat Agitation in country was violent and the government lost crores. And then there were people who went mad over arresting of Ram Rahim Baba. Here also we lost capitals. Before few days farmers were protesting in Maharashtra which was very silent and non-violent. Protests and agitations makes democracy beautiful but on the name of them if you are involved in killing of people how could you justify it. Great Mahatma Gandhi had many shades, his best one was non-violence. However, some people think that there were instances where he should have gone against it. The country lost millions of Capital with the Bharat Bandh today when people were on road protesting against the decision of supreme court in making changes in SC\ST act. Disagreeing with the decision and marchi...

Chapter 2, We played Cricket on mountains

In chapter 1, I opened about how I got into this mass communication. In this chapter I will tell you about the experiences of field. When I was done with graduation, I was looking for a job. Even though I wanted it to be related to journalism but I didn’t get one. There were people back from hometown telling me to find one and utilise my time.   My brother had a friend, who got me hooked with my first job as a content writer which didn’t last more than 20 days. Neither I enjoyed working there nor they paid enough for me to stay. Once, when I was working there I got a call from someone whom I knew from my previous internship asking me to work for a   web portal in Himachal Pradesh. I was more than happy to take that offer into consideration and after talking to my parents I finally decided to take that. That’s how I reached Himachal Pradesh probably one of the beautiful places I have ever been and found myself a dream job. It was really awesome roaming between mountain...
