Tamil Nadu in Dilemma. CSK or CMB

There Chennai Superkings were running away with the match on the ground and here protesters were running outside the ground for Cauvery Management Board. One of the most successful franchises of all time was making a comeback on their home ground as their favorite Thalaiva captain was ready to roar again in yellow jersey against the star-studded Kolkata Knight Riders.  Toss didn’t happen at the scheduled time delayed by 13 minutes causing worry for people having MS Dhoni painted on their naked Body because there was protest leading to high security and traffic problems outside the ground for not letting the Sam Billings and Watson win the match for the Team
People of Chennai are divided into two groups now, Anti-IPL people and IPL pro-people. One wants Chepauk Stadium to host matches for Chennai and rest want the government to make a Cauvery Management Board who will act as vigilantes if Tamil Nadu is getting enough water from Karnataka or not before hosting a match in MA Chidambaram stadium.
It depends on us, how we see these two groups. Experiencing the Live match on the ground is more important or getting enough water for the state.  The dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is not new, it has been there since British rule. The dispute is between Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry for getting water from the River Cauvery which is also Spelled as “Kaveri”.
Recent droughts have made things difficult for Karnataka Government. They don’t have enough water for their own city Mysore and Bengaluru.  In this situation asking them for more water seems little hard to them. However, they have to follow the conduct which states them to release 404.25 TMC of water to Tami Nadu, keep 284.75 TMC for themselves, 30 TMC to Kerala and & 7 TMC to Puducherry as per the supreme court verdict of 2018.
Less rainfall and drought startled people of Tamil Nadu which admonished their mind to doubt the Karnataka government if they are releasing the right amount of water from the river or not. People of Tamil Nadu Including Veteran actors Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan asked the central government to make a vigil body to look for the share of water as soon as possible. They condemned the government for organizing the IPL matches in Chennai. They want the government to make Cauvery management Board first then let the Thalaiva Dhoni hit sixes for their team on home ground.

The central government has been reprimanded by the supreme court to make CMB soon. The central government has asked for three more months for the same because it may lead to violence and Political parties will use this as the propaganda in elections. Some leaders of Tamil Nadu led the people of their state to believe that central government wants to cash in the upcoming Legislative elections in Karnataka which is to be commenced in May 2018, that’s why they are not making the CMB now.

Democracy allows protest, not violence and death with it.

We have seen many popular protests in India. Some were democratic and some were non-violent and undemocratic. Famous Anna Hazare’s agitation for Lokpal Bill in country’s Capital was non-violent and very cooperative. Jat Agitation in country was violent and the government lost crores. And then there were people who went mad over arresting of Ram Rahim Baba. Here also we lost capitals. Before few days farmers were protesting in Maharashtra which was very silent and non-violent. Protests and agitations makes democracy beautiful but on the name of them if you are involved in killing of people how could you justify it. Great Mahatma Gandhi had many shades, his best one was non-violence. However, some people think that there were instances where he should have gone against it. The country lost millions of Capital with the Bharat Bandh today when people were on road protesting against the decision of supreme court in making changes in SC\ST act. Disagreeing with the decision and marchi...

Chapter 2, We played Cricket on mountains

In chapter 1, I opened about how I got into this mass communication. In this chapter I will tell you about the experiences of field. When I was done with graduation, I was looking for a job. Even though I wanted it to be related to journalism but I didn’t get one. There were people back from hometown telling me to find one and utilise my time.   My brother had a friend, who got me hooked with my first job as a content writer which didn’t last more than 20 days. Neither I enjoyed working there nor they paid enough for me to stay. Once, when I was working there I got a call from someone whom I knew from my previous internship asking me to work for a   web portal in Himachal Pradesh. I was more than happy to take that offer into consideration and after talking to my parents I finally decided to take that. That’s how I reached Himachal Pradesh probably one of the beautiful places I have ever been and found myself a dream job. It was really awesome roaming between mountain...
