Who exactly is the main reason behind the failure of media?

Why is it that every second educated person has hard feelings and sense of animosity for media today. Survey is a part of my work so I get to meet many people. I have experienced that, when asked about media ,lots of them don’t have good things to say. In recent times electronic media has been criticized for its ill performance either it was a week long coverage of Sri Devi’s death or denial of the coverage of farmers agitating in Maharashtra.
What do you think, why some media houses are bound to show nonsense? People say that TRPs is the only reason they  do that. I say, we are the main reason behind news channels showing these type of non-sense.  Its very complicated, it’s not like, we see what these news channels show us, The real deal is media shows us what we want to see. It’s not that electronic media either Hindi or English don’t want to do the real journalism.
The time we stop watching nonsense like an anchor going into the lake to find the leftovers from thousand years before, they will stop broadcasting these nonsense. If we want to watch specific contents like adventure, entertainment then we can head to specific channels, why to expect it from news channels ? Aren’t we asking too much from them ? I don’t blame news channels for programmes they are showing, it’s us who should be blamed. We will not see they will not show, it is as simple as that.
It is said whenever any sector grows, it brings competition. Same thing happened to media. Journalism was started to inform, educate and aware but viewers  wanted news to be merged with entertainment. So they started doing it. News channels have thousand of employees who needs to be paid and it costs a fortune to bring live pictures to your television sets directly from the studio. They need advertisement to cover all these expenses. And advertisers pays very smartly preferring the channels with higher TRPs. We are the reason behind TRP so indirectly it’s us who are controlling the news programmes of the channels. So, ultimately we are the reason behind all the shit we see on television with our beloved family and friends.

Democracy allows protest, not violence and death with it.

We have seen many popular protests in India. Some were democratic and some were non-violent and undemocratic. Famous Anna Hazare’s agitation for Lokpal Bill in country’s Capital was non-violent and very cooperative. Jat Agitation in country was violent and the government lost crores. And then there were people who went mad over arresting of Ram Rahim Baba. Here also we lost capitals. Before few days farmers were protesting in Maharashtra which was very silent and non-violent. Protests and agitations makes democracy beautiful but on the name of them if you are involved in killing of people how could you justify it. Great Mahatma Gandhi had many shades, his best one was non-violence. However, some people think that there were instances where he should have gone against it. The country lost millions of Capital with the Bharat Bandh today when people were on road protesting against the decision of supreme court in making changes in SC\ST act. Disagreeing with the decision and marchi...

Chapter-5, A story of “HE” and “SHE” and how dream made him do things.

…after that they have only seen each other on Instagram or Facebook.   (continued from chapter 4) After few months they stopped talking to each other on WhatsApp. It felt like the end of his one-sided short love. Next morning “HE” woke up with a dream in which they were fighting against all the odds for their love. The guy took some inspiration from the dream and didn’t want to let his love down. His love wasn’t mutual so he had very little chance of succeeding in it.  He thought, he better tells his feelings to her before it gets too late otherwise he would regret it his whole life. He was very sure this time unlike other times that he would tell her about his love. The guy was playing his last card to make her own, but God had written some other fate for both. “HE” finally wrote a proposal and thought twice before sending it to her. I would have loved to quote his proposal but that will be breaching the privacy line. The proposal was precise and had a lot of inf...
