Chapter 3 : Delhi is a tough place for journalists.

In chapter 2 we looked how good my experience was working for 2017 Legislative Elections in Himachal Pradesh.  Chapter 3 will be focused on the experiences of Delhi.
After the second year in college I always wanted to contribute to the journalism industry. Our Very respected Smita Mishra Mam who is always so kind and caring other than being a very good Professor. If I am not wrong she told us exactly the same thing in 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year that “In around 30 faces I see here, only few or no more than 5 can make it to the journalism industry”. She was so sure about it. And today I don’t see more than 5 faces from my batch in this industry. Maybe more will come in coming years but as of now she was correct.
I am lucky that I am one of those five people who made it. Although, I am struggling because it is the most challenging phase of my career and it has just begun.  20 MLAs were disqualified by President Ram Nath Kovind because it was alleged that they had hold office of profit. So for more than a month these seats were vacant and people were talking for the by-elections on these seats. Wherever election goes we follow, this time it was the national capital.
Working in Delhi is not as pleasant as it was in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal didn’t have variety of people to offer but Delhi has. People from different states live here so different minds can be found. When we were in Himachal we didn’t have to change the way of communication according to people but in New Delhi We have to. Poor’s are more vulnerable as said by some greats, gives us the benefit because they are easy to talk to. They have lots of things to say to journalists. It is very difficult to communicate with rich people because they don’t have much time to give. They have enough money to not give a damn, if the government is availing them all the facilities or not.
Field Job is interesting as well as exhausting. Saddest part is, not so pleasant weather of the National capital. Heat of the sun kills our will to work. There comes the role of our mind, it is tested whether it could do the smart work or not. Yes, I work smartly by not wasting not much of a time and energy at the peak time of sunlight. Instead I use early and late noon to work. Some of the college friends work together and I have made some new ones too.
That’s the end of 3rd and final Chapter. I Hope it was good enough to let you go through my journey briefly.  I will keep writing on other stuffs.

What happened yesterday...

I am writing after few days just because I am confused about the way things are going in my life. I have been thinking about getting a new job because I am not satisfied with the present one. This is going on for over a month and my conscious mind thinks that I deserve a better job. When you see less deserving, less skillful and less qualified person becoming your team leader, it is obvious to get these thoughts. I did journalism with a lot of hopes attached with it, that one day I will do something which I will love and I will also get paid for it but the world seems very cruel when things don’t go your way. I have been active on job portals more than at the current job to find something good. It has hardly been a year and I am having second thoughts on my career. I know that I shouldn’t get this impatient so early in my career but I could feel that I am struggling in finding an appropriate place to show my skills which is a genuine problem of this generation but more than that I ...

Review of article "Wings Over Rajpath" from Geopoltics Magazine.

Refer to “WINGS OVER RAJPATH” (Geopolitics January 2016) by Mayank Singh . In this article writer has rightly explained that how a Republic day is made more special by Air show of Helicopters, Sukhoi, Dhruv, Chakra etc. The writer mentioned that viewers either watching live or on televisions enjoy a lot that moment when tricolor flutter in blue sky playing hide and seek with our eyes disappearing in to the clouds. There are three types of aircraft which participate and all take off from different locations. Fighters, transport and Helicopters have which have different speed and they cover different locations. Visibility of these shows are really important in the overall planning of the display. With visibility decreasing the aircraft have to be brought closer to the VIP and the public and then line of sight also has to be adjusted. The author briefly described how much hard work they have to do before performing on 26 th jan and in front of the president, prime minister and thou...

Is this a start of new beginning or mere a flashback for Saffron.

BJP winning the 2014 Lok Sabha election was something everyone saw coming the day NaMo name was out in the news to lead them in the big money involved election. Since then whatever BJP has achieved in the Country is outrageous to opposition. I don’t recall the last time when the country was ruled by a single party in these many states. Maybe it would have been achieved by mughals or someone else. But this is not something, a citizen should be proud of, where second largest party has only 3 states to rule and the leading party has 21 . Democracy can only excel when the opposition is strong too. Opposition is as important as the party in power because a democratic country needs someone who could ask questions to the party sitting on throne. However the job is meant for the   media but we know they are only playing their card to make money by gaining more and more TRPs and by other alleged means. BJP has been on a roll since Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Sha...
